Institut Curie researchers teach courses at universities of Paris-Descartes (Paris V), Pierre-et-Marie-Curie (Paris VI), Paris-Diderot (Paris 7) and Paris-Sud 11, and at universities elsewhere in France, in chemistry, physics, and all aspects of biology. Several Institut Curie research scientists play an important part in the organization and running of master's degree courses at universities in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. This participation was consolidated in the framework of the reorganization of university teaching and graduate schools (LMD). At the request of their university colleagues, Institut Curie researchers have reaffirmed their commitment to teaching and to creating new course modules. This new teaching makes good use of the original skills of Institut Curie researchers. Several researchers who run courses have been chosen to act as members of Graduate School Boards. One from the Research Center is the director of “Genes, Genomes, Cells” Graduate School at the Paris-Sud 11 University. The Institut Curie regularly organizes onsite high-level international courses on specialized topics for PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, medical interns, and young physicians, from France and abroad.
