Teaching is one of the Institut Curie's missions and is recognized by the authorities, which support it financially.
Postgraduate students come for research training in the Institut Curie laboratories, thus benefiting from the expertise and know-how of researchers specializing in disciplines as wide-ranging as biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, and physical chemistry. Increasing numbers of students and medical interns also benefit from the experience of Institut Curie physicians in the treatment of cancer by taking courses while boarding at the Institut Curie Hospital.
To enhance the teaching, a Teaching Unit has been set up, headed by Giuseppe Baldacci, the assistant scientific director of the Research Center, in collaboration with François Doz, who is the Teaching Director at the Institut Curie Hospital. The Teaching Unit's role is to coordinate all the Institut Curie's teaching programs.
